ADVENT
LEGO
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see Hebrews 11: 1
Most boys (and girls) like LEGO. My four year old son Marcus is often given LEGO kits that are meant for slightly older kids. He needs my help and often I’m the one building them (with him).
Each night before bedtime we build a little, the progress is slow and often there’s not much to show. What keeps Marcus hopeful is believing these parts can assemble into a magnificent creation.
How do I know that this messy pile of lego parts will produce?
The guarantee of my hope is the instruction manual, a step-by-step plan, that this pile of rubble will create this train.
How do you know that our churches will one day accomplish its mission to bring salvation to this broken world?
Hebrews 11 is God’s step-by-step plan with a story that recounts hope, finishing at Jesus.
Look to Jesus this Advent and may He bring you joy.
