Course Description

This course will provide a foundation for understanding the prophets, focusing in on the book of Isaiah. It will provide an overview of the book and demonstrate how Isaiah is to be applied to our modern context. We will also examine in detail several of the more important passages in the book and show how the book fits together

The course is open to masters and doctoral students, online.

Prof. Paul D. Wegner, currently Distinguished Professor of Old Testament Studies and formerly director of the doctoral program at Gateway (Golden Gate) Baptist Seminary in Ontario, California. Dr. Wegner is a well-known evangelical scholar, having published 9 major books, most recently, The Journey from Texts to Translations: The Origin and Development of the Bible. Dr. Wegner’s education includes degrees from Moody Bible Institute, Trinity International University, and The Kings College, University of London where he studied under the renowned Old Testament scholar, Ronald Clements.
