Overall Baptists have always been a “people of the Book.” They have also been passionate about religious liberty and missions. Most of all, Baptists have been focussed on the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to serve Him. Baptists are a distinct group of God’s people with a 400-year-old history. Baptists also share characteristics with the Anabaptist movement.
