DONATION POLICY

Spending of donations and other funds are limited to the programs and projects that are approved by Carey. At times, donations may be received that are restricted by the donor to a particular program or project. In cases where donations are restricted, Carey shall honour the restriction with the understanding of all concerned that should the program or project be completed or cannot be completed for any reason within a reasonable time as determined by Carey, then the remaining amounts, in whole or in part, may be used for other areas of need as determined by Carey.

Donations of securities, such as stocks, bonds, and units of a mutual fund trust received by Carey will be sold at fair market value at the earliest possible date and held in accordance with the investment policy, especially regarding preservation of capital, until such time as needed for the program or project to which it has been designated by Carey.
