MDIV - 2021
Assistant Pastor at Westside Baptist Church
What brought you to Carey?
What brought me to Carey was all the positive feedback that came from the mouths of other alumni. They gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and pursue my degree.
What was your favourite aspect of your time at Carey?
I had always looked forward to a new term at Carey. Each course brought excitement and radical thinking into my learning aspects.
What do you intend to do next?
I hope to continue studying but for now, I am going to give myself a short break and focus on family and ministry.
How has your degree helped you in your ministry?
The one most precious lesson learned from my degree was how to overcome challenges - not on my own but with those that surround us. Often in life, we scratch our heads, bury deep in questions, and are drained by all the anxieties that come along for the ride. But in the past 3 years at Carey, it began that way yet quickly, I realize how much support fellow brothers and sisters had for one another. More importantly, the love and guidance from all the professors that I cross paths with.
